Re-Play Radio Episode 9: I'm-o Orc You Up

This week, Steve Watts dips his toe into the world of Warcraft (3) and reports back with his findings. Find out why this is Blizzard's unheralded masterpiece and why anyone who doesn't like it is a dimwit. Also, we talk about more New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the glut of God of War-esque games in the marketplace and more in What Else, and hand out judgments of Naughty and Nice to the folks and trends that make up the 2009 gaming landscape. Nestle up to your MP3 playing device of choice and enjoy another tender episode of Re-Play Radio, full of flavor and fun.

Re-Play Radio Episode 8: Forever Let Us Hold Our Banner High

Happy Thanksgiving! Here's a Re-Play Radio for you to listen to as you drift off into tryptophan-induced slumber, much like the hero in our featured game, "The Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse". There's plenty of discussion about that, as well as talk of New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Valkyria Chronicles 2, and Assassin's Creed 2 in What Else...and a rant about day one DLC so epic in scope you will scarcely believe you are getting this podcast for free. That, plus more than you could possibly have ever wanted to know about Disney's Ducks, all on this episode of Re-Play Radio.

Re-Play Radio Episode 7: You And Me And The 108 Stars of Destiny

Re-Play Radio is back! Again! This time we're changing up the format - rather than playing one game through to completion, we're going to focus on a different game every episode or two. Sorry for those of you expecting more of our thoughts on Okami, but this is just better for the regularity of the schedule (and our sanity). Anyway, this week we talk about Mario and Luigi 3, Uncharted 2, Beatles: Rock Band and lots more in What Else! Then we give Suikoden (and the Suikoden series in general) its just due in the main segment, with more information than you could possibly ever want to know about the series - and a spoiler or two, so be warned. Finally, in our new Re-Play Rant segment, find out exactly what Bryan thinks about your webcomic. It's a nice, meaty show and you should find it to your tastes if you download it.

Re-Play Radio Episode Six: A Doggone Long Time

Wow, that one took long enough.

Anyway, our heroes rejoin the quest to rid the world of an ancient evil with this episode...but before that, there's plenty more talk about other games in What Else, including Batman: Arkham Asylum (yes again), Shadow Complex, and more. Then it's on to the meat of the game as we find the missing Canine Warriors, infiltrate an Imp camp, and do battle with the dreaded Orochi! And in Re-Play Recommends, it's The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - find out why the red-headed stepchild of portable Zeldas is actually totally worth your time and why it's also totally right up your alley if you like Okami.

This one took a long time to get made, so please do yourself a favor and download it right now.

Re-Play Radio Episode 5: I Wanna Etc. Etc.

It occurs to me that that graphic looks like something that would be painted on the side of a panel van.

Anyway! This week we take a break from Okami to talk about Marvel Vs. Capcom 2! But before then, we talk about other games in What Else, including My Life As A Dark Lord, Baseball Sluggers Home Run Derby 3D, MLB 09: The Show, Fallout 3, and posit that the Batman: Arkham Asylum demo might be proof of the existence of a benevolent God. After that, you'll learn more than you ever wanted to know about Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, as well as the rest of the entries in the Vs. series...with a special bonus tangent about the excerable Marvel Nemesis. Then, in Re-Play Recommends, it's the Rival Schools series, possibly the finest game about high school stereotypes fighting each other to solve a mystery ever made.

It's a great show - worth the wait, in my estimation - and you should download it now.

Re-Play Radio Episode 4: Who's a Good Puppy?

The Re-Play Radio juggernaut rolls on as we begin Capcom's forgotten masterpiece, wolf goddess simulator Okami. Will the game's intriguing story and lush graphics stand up to the withering snark of your intrepid hosts? (Answer: Yes, probably.) Also, there's talk of Retro Game Challenge and Call of Juarez in What Else, and we'll tell you exactly why you should devote your attention to finding and playing copies of the Mega Man Legends games in Re-Play Recommends. Download it now, or risk scorn and mockery.

Re-Play Radio Episode 3: Free At Last, Free At Last

Finally! We are free from the tyrannical clutches of Star Wars: Dark Forces!...I mean, we bid a fond farewell to Star Wars: Dark Forces as we wrap up our forced playthrough. Find out what we thought about the senses-shattering duel with Boba Fett, the jaw-dropping ending, and lots of other things I am totally lying about when I describe them. Also: talk of Magic: The Gathering, Tiger Woods, and more in What Else, and Shadows of the Empire is our Re-Play Recommends title for the (two) week(s). Download it now!

Re-Play Radio Episode 2: Katarn It

In this episode of Re-Play Radio, the gauntlet of pain that is Star Wars: Dark Forces continues unabated as Bryan and Steve suffer their way through Chapter 8 of this damnable port. It's not all bad, though, as we talk Valkyria Chronicles, inFAMOUS, and more Punch-Out in What Else, and tell you why you should check out the third and infinitely superior Dark Forces sequel, Jedi Academy in Re-Play Recommends. Also, find out how your masochistic tendencies can win you your own copy of Dark Forces - that is to say, Bryan's copy - in the first-ever Re-Play Radio contest! Download it now.

Re-Play Radio Episode 1: Dark Forces Upon Us

The long wait is finally over - the era of Re-Play Radio has begun! The free time of both Bryan Carr and Steve Watts is now officially in your hands as they are forced to play whatever you tell them to! In this episode, our heroes kick off the long, arduous task of Star Wars: Dark Forces and explain why the years have not been kind to this classic (or more specifically, its terrible PS1 port). But that's not all! In What Else, the boys talk about games they're playing for fun, like Punch-Out, inFAMOUS, and Valkyria Chronicles, and in Re-Play Recommends, they'll tell you why Star Wars: The Force Unleashed wasn't such a bad little game - it just needed a little love. And RPR needs a little love too - jump onto the forums and vote for the next game! While you do that, download the new podcast here.
